Guaranteed Drop from the vengeful Hornsent at either of the following locations:

Shadow Keep - If the player chooses to assist Leda in vanquishing him.
- This encounter can become available available after suggesting the Hornsent's potential threat to Miquella's cause to Leda near the Highroad Cross site of grace.
- Their signs will then become available to choose between at the top of the staircase found northeast of the Main Gate Plaza site of grace.
- This option becomes inaccessible after defeating Messmer the Impaler.
Ancient Ruins of Rauh - If the player chooses to summon the Hornsent in the fight against Messmer.
- The Hornsent will then invade the player at the top of the staircase in one of the rot-infested halls near the Church of the Bud in the southwestern quarters of Rauh.
- Defeating him here will yield the player this item.
Enir-Ilim - If the player chooses to defeat Messmer without the Hornsent's assistance.
- The Hornsent will appear at the Cleansing Chamber as one of the potential enemies in the Miquellan Loyalists bossfight.
- Defeating the loyalists will make this item appear on his corpse, which can then be found in the arena after the battle is over.
