Carian Slicer is a spell in ELDEN RING (2022).

It is one of the Carian Sword Sorceries, a subset of the Carian Sorceries.

Description Description

One of the sorceries of the Carian royal family.

Conjures a magic sword and delivers a swift sweeping slash. This sorcery can be used without delay after performing another action.

Even among the Carian sword sorceries, this is a notably effective technique.

Acquisition Acquisition

Purchase: Limgrave / Liurnia of the Lakes / Academy of Raya Lucaria / Roundtable Hold

Effect Effect

The caster conjures a magic sword and swiftly performs a sweeping motion from one side to the other. Further input performs the same motion from the other side. Casting the spell after attacking with a weapon, jumping, dodging, running, creates the magic sword without delay.

Notes Notes

  • Costs FP 4 FP per cast.
  • Costs Stamina 12 Stamina per cast.
  • Requires 1 Memory Slot to be equipped.
  • The magic sword deals Magic Damage equal to 180% of the staff's Sorcery Scaling
  • Carian Slicer can be cast quickly while jumping, running, after dodging, and after attacking.
  • Carian Slicer can be cast repeatedly.
  • Carian Slicer can be parried, but only the staff portion.
  • Can be cast while riding Torrent.
    • Torrent does not slow down when casting Carian Slicer.

Strategies

  • This spell is a good choice for those favoring a pure caster playstyle, as it allows for melee confrontation even without a melee weapon of any sort.
  • While Carian Slicer can be parried, it might prove very challenging to do so, as only the staff portion is parryable.
  • Carian Slicer does not deal much Poise damage, but it does have great DPS potential.
  • In PvP, this is considered an all around great spell to have on a caster.
