Carian Sorcery Sword is a melee armament found in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

One of the Carian royal family's glintstone swords. A small piercing sword with a slender blade.

Formerly used by the Carian knights of old before the full refinement of their sorcerous combat techniques, this armament functions as a catalyst for glintstone sorcery when executing strong attacks.

Acquisition

Loot: Castle Ensis ^{(Gravesite Plain)}

• This item can be found in a chest in northern Castle Ensis after dropping down from Scadu Altus.
  • Starting from the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, head southwest into the river and jump of the southern edge of the western riverbank to get to a freestanding castle-section with the chest on its top.

Notes

• The locked Skill: Impaling Thrust effectively serves as a replacement for its charged heavy attacks.
• All of this weapon's heavy attack variants (including charged, running, and jumping heavy attacks) are replaced with the ability to cast Sorceries using this weapon. Wielding this weapon in the left hand lets one cast Sorceries with the skill button, which overrides the right-hand weapon's skill.
  • Guard Counters are still possible, but requires using both a light attack and a heavy attack at the same time instead of only a heavy attack.
  • Combines well with "weapon" Sorceries such as Carian Slicer and Gavel of Haima to mix with its light attacks and general moveset.
  • Best used one-handed due to extremely minimal benefits from two-handing, and this also makes it possible to combine this weapon with a shield or an offhand Thrusting Sword for a better moveset.
    • Using this weapon as an offhand weapon to take advantage of both the Thrusting Sword offhand attacks and spellcasting is also possible.
• This is the only non-Staff weapon with Sorcery Scaling and the ability to cast Sorceries.
• This is the strongest "staff" available for casting Sorceries when upgraded to +10 and used at 41 Intelligence.
• Deals less damage with non-Magic Sorceries, such as most Gravity Sorceries and all Magma Sorceries.
• Lowest Attack Power of all Thrusting Swords.
• At +25 it has 163 Sorcery Scaling with 16 Intelligence, 248 Sorcery Scaling with 45 Intellingece, and 291 Sorcery Scaling with 80 Intelligence.
  • Has 207 Sorcery Scaling with 30 Intelligence and 281 Sorcery Scaling with 60 Intelligence.
