Claymore is a melee armament found in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Description

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇯🇵

A large sword with a long, straight blade. This heavy sword is usually wielded with two hands, but for those with enough strength, one is sufficient.

In addition to the heavy sweeping attacks, it can also make a heavy piercing thrust, making this a versatile weapon.

Acquisition

Loot: Castle Morne ^{(Weeping Peninsula)}

• Found in a chest in the castle. From the Castle Morne Lift Site of Grace and taking the elevator up, it's found in a building on the right, reached by climbing up the pile of bodies in the castle's courtyard.

Notes

• Its one- and two-handed heavy attacks and charged heavy attacks, and two-handed rolling attacks and crouching attacks consist of a thrust instead of the usual slam, making this weapon much more compatible with the Spear Talisman than other Greatswords and granting it slightly more range with these attacks.
  • This trait is shared with the Greatsword of Damnation .
• Though the Claymore has a higher than average Dexterity Requirement, it's overall more Strength-leaning in its scalings and will work better on Strength-focused Affinities.
• Having Lion's Claw as its innate skill is a strong early advantage due to its immense strength and Stance-breaking potential, especially since the Lion Guardian holding the skill can be difficult to defeat without ranged attacks early on.
