Disturbing likeness of a woman whose skin was flayed. She smiles with a serene tenderness.
Increases damage taken.
It is said that this woman, named Daedicar, indulged in every form of adultery and wicked pleasure imaginable, giving birth to a myriad of grotesque children.
Useful for the Mimic Tear fights, as having it equipped when the fight starts will make the Mimic Tear take double damage for the entire fight while the Tarnished can remove it as soon as it is fully spawned in.
Due to the mention of Daedicar indulging in "every form of adultery and wicked pleasure imaginable," and the item being obtained from Rya, after receiving the Serpent's Amnion, it is implied that Daedicar may have engaged in bestiality and is potentially Rya's birth-mother, resulting from an act with a serpent-merged Rykard or a Man-Serpent.
Trivia
This talisman’s effect is similar to the Calamity Ring from the Dark Souls series.
Daedicar's Woe had a different description in version 1.00:
Disturbing likeness of an old noble whose skin was flayed. He smiles with a serene tenderness.
Increases damage taken.
This soft-featured man's name was Daedicar, and he was one of Captain Rykard's paramours, as well an attendant in his Inquisition.
He would test new methods of torture first upon himself, making a gift of his pain and first-hand knowledge to the one he loved.
