Death Knights are optional bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree. They are encountered at Fog Rift Catacombs and Scorpion River Catacombs.

Background

These knights were once the personal guard of Godwyn, and are now the protectors of the Prince of Death's cadaver surrogate. ^[1]

Their weapons bear a representation of a decayed golden ring and crackles with lightning, the power of the capital's ancient dragon cult. ^[2]
