Discard Item

Discarding items is a gameplay feature in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾. It can be performed from a sub-menu that appears when selecting an item in the Inventory menu screen. The act of doing so completely erases an item from the player's inventory and thus cannot be retrieved should the player change their mind. The player can choose two different options when it comes to discarding:

• Discard - Allows the player to discard a specific number of an individual item.
• Discard selected number - Selecting this option will cause the inventory menu to enter a state where the player can rapidly mark multiple items for removal. After all the desired items have been marked the player can press either , or (depending on the platform) to confirm the selection. Note that selecting an item that contains multiple copies of itself while occupying a single inventory slot (like having 99 Neutralizing Boluses) then the total quantity of that individual item slots stock will be discarded at once.

Notes

• Should the player discard the Serpent Hunter great spear, then they'll be able to retrieve a new un-upgraded copy of it from it's original location.
