Dragon's Pit

Dragon's Pit is a dungeon on the Gravesite Plain.

Overview

A cave at the end of the Pillar-Path on the Gravesite Plain in the Realm of Shadow. The Dragon's Pit is the path to the Foot of the Jagged Peak. It can be accessed by bearing south-southwest at the Pillar Path Waypoint site of grace.

As indicated by its name, the dungeon is dragon-themed, full of skeletons of Farum Azula beastmen and ritual implements of Dragon Communion. A Magma Wyrm prowls one of the cavern's upper chambers, and deep in the belly of a chasm the Ancient Dragon-Man awaits one worthy to face the Dread Dragon.^[1]

Information about the Ancient Dragon-Man indicates that the Dragon's Pit might have served as a rite of passage for Dragon Communion practitioners who sought to slay the Dread Dragon.^[1] The means by which the Ancient Dragon-Man assumed his form was the original form of Dragon Communion.^[2]
