Ensha of the Royal Remains is an NPC in Elden Ring.
Overview
Ensha is the unspeaking adherent of Sir Gideon Ofnir, typically found leaning on the wall outside his master's study in Roundtable Hold. Ensha wears armour graced with golden human bones, which are said to have belonged to a soulless king, the lord of the lost and desperate, known as Ensha.[1]
After the Tarnished obtains one half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, Ensha invades them in Roundtable Hold. After killing Ensha, the Tarnished confronts Gideon, who claims that Ensha got ahead of himself.[2] As an apology, Gideon furnishes the Tarnished with advice regarding the whereabouts of the medallion's other half.[3]

Questline Progression
- Roundtable Hold
- Talk to him to receive the "What do you want?" Gesture.
- Roundtable Hold
- After retrieving the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) from Old Albus in the Village of the Albinaurics, or the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) from Castle Sol, Ensha will invade the player. Upon death, he drops the Clinging Bone and his Royal Remains Set can then be collected from his original spot outside Gideon's room.
- Afterwards, Gideon will have a new dialogue option About Ensha and, once exhausted, About the secret medallions.
Trivia
- Interestingly, Ensha is referred to with male pronouns when talking to Gideon, but his character model uses "Body Type B", which is the feminine body option.[4] This can best been seen by modding the game to remove Ensha's armor and revealing is full character model. Why this is the case is unknown.
