Erdtree Seal is a sacred seal and catalyst in Elden Ring.

Description

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A formless sacred seal decorated with an Erdtree crest, once the focus of religion in the Lands Between.

Even though the Elden Ring is shattered, and the Erdtree has dulled from its former radiance, earnest faith continues to hold the answers.

Acquisition

Loot: Mt. Gelmir

• Found inside a open cell just northwest of the Prison Town Church Site of Grace, located in Volcano Manor. There is an Omenkiller enemy near it.
  • Can also be found by starting at the Guest Hall Site of Grace and backtracking to the top floor of the building, before exiting it across the bridge and taking a right through the large gate to find a bonfire. The Seal is in one of the cells there.

Notes

• Does NOT increase the damage of Erdtree Incantations, despite the name and association with that incantation type.
• The strongest Faith-only Sacred Seal when the stat is above 68.
  • Gets 353 Incantation Scaling at 80 Faith when the seal is at +10. The other seals are in the 310 to 330 range at that point.
  • If using only a single Seal, other Faith-only Seals will still outmatch the Erdtree Seal when using the type of incantations that they boost. However, since this boost also applies to other Seals when a spell-boosting seal is held in an active hand, wielding two Seals at the same time makes the Erdtree Seal once again the stronger alternative unless two copies of the same spell-boosting seal are obtained.
• Though it won't quite catch up with the Godslayer's Seal (the strongest Seal beforehand) until the Faith stat reaches the 60s, the ease of upgrading it because it requires Somber Smithing Stones (versus the unfortunately generally much rarer Smithing Stones that the Godslayer's Seal needs) means it can still see good use beforehand.
• Besides increasing the Seal's Incantation Scaling, the Faith-scaling also increases the its own meager base Physical and Holy damage.
• At maximum upgrade level it has 212 Incantation Scaling at 40 Faith (minimum requirement) and 353 Incantation Scaling at 80 Faith.
  • Has 243 Incantation Scaling at 50 Faith, 273 Scaling at 60 Faith, and 313 Scaling at 70 Faith.

Upgrade Information

• Upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones.
• Cannot have its Affinity and Skill changed.
• The upper number in the Atk column denotes Physical base damage while the lower, colored number in the Atk column denotes elemental base damage: orange for Holy damage.

Trivia

• The Erdtree crest mentioned in the description is the one temporarily created on the ground or in the air when casting Erdtree Incantations.
• This is the only Sacred Seal that also deals non-Physical damage when it's used to directly hit an enemy.
