The Everdark Sovereigns are enhanced Nightlord bosses in ELDEN RING: NIGHTREIGN.

History

The Everdark Sovereign made their debut in June 18th of 2025,[1] with Adel being the first one. After a week, Everdark Adel was replaced by Fulghor, and then Gnoster on the following week.

After the Gnoster's debut week, the first three Everdark Sovereigns returned to weekly rotation in pairs for three weeks. The next four Everdark Sovereigns to debut in the following weeks were Maris, Libra, Caligo and Gladius in that order, though each Everdark's debut would be paired with another Everdark that was introduced earlier.

Following the full debut of the seven Everdark Sovereigns, all currently available Everdarks are on a weekly rotation, with two Everdarks available to challenge at a time.

With the introduction of the Deep of Night game mode, the target of an expedition can randomly be an Everdark version of the boss. This information is withheld from players until they reach the Spirit Shelter in day 3. This phenomenon only happens in Depth 2 or higher.

One week after the introduction of The Forsaken Hollows DLC, the Everdark Sovereign version of Harmonia was made available to players who own the DLC. This boss was consistently available until 1 Jan 2026, after which they were integrated into the Everdark rotation, which now displays three random Everdarks.

What are Everdark Sovereigns?

Everdark Sovereigns are enhanced versions of the Nightlords meant to challenge players who are already familiar with their original form. Not only do they have increased HP and damage, they feature an entirely new phase and/or different behavior that requires a unique approach to the fight.

To even challenge an Everdark Sovereign, the player must first defeat the original version of the Nightlord in a normal expedition. If the player is playing on Deep of Night, there is a random chance that they may be challenging an Everdark version of the Nightlord at the end.

Defeating an Everdark Sovereign for the first time, regardless of where they faced it, will award the player 25 ERN Menu Icon Sovereign Sigil.png Sovereign Sigils, a currency used to buy Garbs, Chalices, unique Relics and other items at the ERN Map Icon Collector Signboard.png Collector Signboard. Subsequent defeats will award the player with 5-7 Sovereign Sigils.
