Family Heads is a melee armament found in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Description

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Three bludgeoning copper heads attached to a handle by chains. Signature weapon of Necromancer Garris, the heretical sage.

The heads were made to resemble those of his wife and two children.

Unique Skill: Familial Rancor

Gently rattle the copper heads to summon vengeful spirits that chase down foes. The anguish of a spouse and children invites accursed wrath.

Acquisition

Received upon defeating Necromancer Garris, who is found behind an illusory wall inside the Sage's Cave, located in Altus Plateau.

Notes

• While the weapon itself mostly scales with Dexterity, the skill actually scales with Intelligence and quite strongly at that in spite of the weapon's own E to D scaling for that Attribute.
• The Strength requirement is 8, which is the lowest the Attribute can go.
• As a Flail, this weapon can't be parried.
• Curiously enough, the skill does not consume Stamina upon casting, not even in combat.

Upgrading

• This weapon is upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones.
• Can't be buffed or infused.

Trivia

• The Attributes scaling for the weapon when upgraded to +10 spells out DAD, which might be a reference to how Garris himself is a father and how the weapon was made to resemble his lost family.
