Greatsword featuring a flame-like undulation. Shred enemy flesh, inducing blood loss.

Scarlet rot is kept at bay with flame at Redmane Castle, and as such, this beloved sword of Jerren's eventually became the symbol of the castle itself.

Notes Notes

  • A decently strong, Dexterity-leaning Greatsword (though it's at its best on the Keen Affinity and Cold Affinity), and one of only two infusable Greatswords with innate Blood Loss and the stronger one of the two means it's also arguably the most compatible one for Occult Affinity.
    • Despite this its Keen affinity actually gives it slightly weaker Dexterity-scaling for "bullet"-type (i.e. doesn't scale directly with the used weapon's damage) Skills with a Keen, Quality, Lightning, or Cold affinity, giving them usually about 2% less damage than they otherwise would have. This includes, as an example, the skills Beast's Roar, Storm Blade, Thunderbolt, and Hoarfrost Stomp (these skills however perform as normal on any affinity besides Keen).
  • Has a unique one-handed heavy attack and charged heavy attack, where the sword is swept horisontally instead of being an overhead slam.
    • This attack is very similar to the regular sweeping heavy attack of two-handed Greatswords.

Trivia

  • Wielded by Castellan Jerren.
  • "Flamberge" is a french word for "flaming" and refers to the flame-like, undulating pattern of the blade.
