Freezing Mist is a spell in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾. It is one of the Ice Sorceries.

Sorcery said to have been used by the old snow witch.

Releases a cold mist before the caster. This sorcery can be cast while in motion. Charging enhances range of the mist.

The snowy crone taught the young Ranni to fear the dark moon as she imparted her cold sorcery.

Acquisition

Purchase: Liurnia of the Lakes / Roundtable Hold

• Sold for 6,000 Runes by Preceptor Seluvis.
• Should Seluvis die before purchasing this Sorcery from him, then the player can still purchase it from the Twin Maiden Husks for the same price, after giving them Seluvis's Bell Bearing.

Effect

The caster fires a cloud of cold mist that inflicts Frostbite build-up. Charging the spell enlarges the radius of the mist from 2.8 meters to 5 meters.

Freezing Mist inflicts 100 Frostbite build-up per second and lasts for 15 seconds, meaning it inflicts up to 1,600 build-up (since it also hits once when spawned) if the enemy stays within the mist and/or does not let the build up decay.

Notes

• Costs 21 FP per cast.
• Costs 13 Stamina per cast.
• Requires 1 Memory Slot to be equipped.
• The Frostbite build-up of Freezing Mist is flat, meaning that wearing the Snow Witch Hat or leveling up Intelligence does not increase the build-up rate.

Strategies

• If an enemy is unaware of the caster's presence, Freezing Mist will not alert them, even if they are inflicted with Frostbite and take damage.
• Like the other Mist spells, Freezing Mist is best used in tight, claustrophobic areas where there isn't much space for an enemy to evade the spell.
