Frozen Needle is a melee armament found in ELDEN RING (2022).
Description
Acquisition
Loot: Kingsrealm Ruins (Liurnia of the Lakes)
- Found inside a chest after beating the Royal Revenant boss inside the Kingsrealm Ruins.
Notes
- The locked Skill: Impaling Thrust effectively serves as a replacement for its charged heavy attacks for dealing Stance damage, especially since the unique charged heavy attacks of this weapon deal very little Stance damage and Impaling Thrust is quite strong in that regard.
- The Frostbite build-up of the Frozen Needle is flat; it remains at 60 regardless of the player's weapon upgrade level.
- The Frozen Needle has a unique heavy attack, charged heavy attack, and feint attack where the wielder instead fires the blade during the thrust. This projectile has decent range, costs no FP, and deals either about the same amount of damage as a light attack (the heavy attack and feint attack versions) or as a charged heavy attack (the charged heavy attack version).
- Only the projectile deals damage, not the thrust itself.
- The Axe Talisman does NOT increase the Attack Power of the projectile.
- The unique attacks have greatly decreased Stance damage, dealing 4 Stance damage instead of 8 for heavy attacks and feint attacks, and 8 instead of 24 for charged heavy attacks. They also don't benefit from the boost to Stance damage from two-handing.
- Very short.
- Has the lowest Attack Power of all Thrusting Swords except for the Carian Sorcery Sword
.

- The Frozen Needle cannot have its Ash of War or Affinity changed.
