The Godslayer's Greatsword is a melee armament in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾. It is a colossal sword.

At +10 this weapon has a D/B/-/C/- scaling.

Description

Sacred sword of the Gloam-Eyed Queen who controlled the Godskin Apostles before her defeat at the hands of Maliketh.

The black flames wielded by the apostles are channeled from this sword.

Acquisition

Loot: Divine Tower of Caelid ^(Caelid)

• Found in a treasure chest at the end of the Divine Tower of Caelid, behind the Godskin Apostle boss.

Notes

• The Unique Skill: The Queen's Black Flame is a very damaging but also very slow attack, being decently capable of staggering due to high Stance damage and inflicting knockback but being somewhat lacking in its Hyper Armor.
  • This is also the only source of Blackflame on the weapon.
• Has unique one- and two-handed light attacks, which are more sweeping. This trait is shared with the Fire Knight's Greatsword.
  • These attacks grant much more progress towards the Winged Sword Insignias' damage buff, giving 14 points per hit instead of the usual 8 per hit.
  • The first two attacks in both the one-handed and two-handed attack chains inflict less stagger on enemies, staggering for only about 75% of the time a Colossal Sword's light attack would normally and placing it on par with a Greatsword. Stance damage is not affected.
• Of surprisingly average length.
• Despite it's Faith-scaling Fire Attack Power, that stat is the weakest for increasing the weapon's overall Attack Power. Instead, Dexterity gives the greatest benefit with Strength becoming on par after 54 Dexterity.
  • Overall, a pure Dexterity-build will have the highest Attack Power, with a hybrid Strength/Dexterity build being almost on par, and a pure Faith-build being the slighest bit behind.

Trivia

• Wielded by Vargram the Raging Wolf.
• Greatly reminiscent of the Onyx Blade from Dark Souls III, though this weapon is considerably larger.
