Golden greatsword that once pierced the body of Midra, master of the manse. Used by hornsent in the execution of a damnation like no other.

The barbs that pierce the victim from within wind gently around the blade.

Acquisition

Trade: Roundtable Hold

• Trade the Remembrance of the Lord of Frenzied Flame, gained by defeating Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame, with Finger Reader Enia.
  • Alternatively, use one of the Wandering Mausoleums to duplicate one (can only obtain one per playthrough using either method).

Notes

• It's innate skill, Golden Crux, is effectively a jumping heavy attack with a follow-up explosion, that can also function as a grab if the initial attack hits another Tarnished.
• Its one- and two-handed heavy attacks and charged heavy attacks, and two-handed rolling attacks and crouching attacks consist of a thrust instead of the usual slam, making this weapon much more compatible with the Spear Talisman than other Greatswords and granting it slightly more range with these attacks.
  • This trait is shared with the Claymore.
• Strength provides the strongest scaling for the weapon's Attack Power, though as its scaling gains diminishing returns after 50 it becomes possible to gain roughly equal Attack Power by investing in Dexterity or Faith as it's with Strength beyond that point.
  • Investing in Strength or Dexterity makes it easier to benefits from the Counter Hits from the unique attacks and the skill, while investing in Faith gives access to more Incantations for offensive and defensive Buffs as well as attack spells.
