ER Custom Icon Description.png Description

Greatswords of black steel wielded by Radahn in his youth. A pair of weapons decorated with a lion mane motif.

These were in his possession immediately before his triumph over the stars - the swords of a lord who does not rely on physical strength and gravity alone.

Notes Notes

  • The Unique Skill: Lightspeed Slash is a strong opener to a fight and very hard to interrupt mid-leap due to its Super Armor, though it can be hard to use mid-combat since it takes a moment to activate and doesn't do the most damage.
  • Scales roughly equally well with Strength and Dexterity, though the former is slightly stronger, and performs slightly better with a split Strength/Dexterity build than a pure Strength or pure Dexterity build. Intelligence-scaling is mostly irrelevant for weapon damage.
    • Intelligence scales the Magic Attack Power of the weapon and the all the Holy Attack Power of the skill (both the small bonus to the weapon attacks and the pillars of light).
  • Despite being paired weapon it still receives the 50% Strength-bonus from two-handing.
    • Note that it doesn't get the usual two-handed bonus to Stance damage. In fact, the Stance damage from the two-handed dual-wield attacks is weaker than the Stance damage of the one-handed light attacks (5.4+5.4 vs 14.4). However, the two-handed jumping dual-wield attacks deal an unusually large amount of Stance damage (10.8+10.8 vs 18.72).
  • Average weight for a Colossal Sword, effectively allowing dual-wielding with half the weight and therefore with much less required Endurance.
  • Two-handing replaces the light attack, including all its derivatives, with dual-wield attacks. Blocking also becomes available while heavy attacks remain the same.
    • This means two-handed dual-wield attacks will deal more damage than heavy attacks, though the latter will still deal more Stance damage per hit.
    • These two-handed dual wield light attacks deal on average more damage than if two Greatswords of Radahn are dual wielded, having modifiers on par with the final attack in the regular dual wield attack chain.
  • Though longer than the Starscourge Greatsword, this weapon is still on the shorter side.
