Heavy Thrusting Swords

Heavy Thrusting Swords are a type of melee armament in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾. They have moderately quick attack speed and reasonable range as well as more damage against health and poise, and have a relatively subtle telegraphs at the start of most of their attack animations. However they are overall slower and have a higher stamina cost compared to the smaller Thrusting Swords.

Moveset

All attacks are Pierce damage thrusts, except for the Standard damage slash of feint-attacks. The most notable attack is the running heavy attack, which is a short, quick dash followed by the thrust itself, giving the attack greater than usual reach. Their two-handed moveset is generally very similar to their one-handed one, increasing overall damage to health and poise.

Similar to Curved Swords and Thrusting Swords, their charged heavy attack can be canceled in favor of a quick feint-attack should the player press the Roll button while charging. They can also attack while guarding at the same time similar to smaller to their smaller brethren, Spears, and Great Spears.

Unusually, all infusable Heavy Thrusting Swords except for Queelign's Greatsword have certain unique heavy attacks: the Godskin Stitcher has double-hit charged heavy attacks with no penalty to Status Effect build-up or Stamina damage, the Great Épée has sweeping heavy attacks and charged heavy attacks with increased and decreased Stamina damage when one-handed and two-handed respectively, and the Sword Lance has Great Spear heavy attacks, charged heavy attacks, running heavy attacks, jumping heavy attacks, and guard counters (more specifically those of the Lance). The Sword Lance notably also lacks the feint-attack as Great Spears do not have those.
