House Hoslow is an illustrious family of nobles, its most notable members (as seen in-game) being two brothers; Diallos, the Younger Brother and Juno the Older Brother. It is unknown whether the family is based inside or outside the Lands Between.
Their uniforms are distinguished by its black cloth, decorated with red embellishments and garish silver armor. The apparel being passed down through the generations of the family. The head of the family is distinguished by their twin-tailed silver helm decorated with flowery adornments.
The house follows the rare tradition of ultimogeniture, where the right of succession belongs to the youngest child. However due to Diallos, the last-born's inability to commit to action, Juno, the first-born was allowed to inherit the Hoslow legacy in his stead. A decision that was met with little resistance.[1]

![]() Juno Hoslow (head) |
Older brother of Diallos and current head of House Hoslow. A successful, stern and self-possessed man of a few words, Juno inherited the legacy of the Hoslow family in order to protect his younger brother, whom he loved dearly.[2] Despite his achievements, drenching himself in blood time and time again, he could never considered himself a champion and discreetly refused an invitation to the Volcano Manor.[3] He would later become their target. He wields two Hoslow Whips in combat, allowing him to rapidly inflict blood loss on his enemies at the cost of jeopardizing his own personal safety. |
![]() Diallos Hoslow |
Younger brother of Juno and first in line for inheriting the Hoslow legacy, Diallos failed to take up the mantle as head of the family as he himself was all talk and no trousers. Diallos aspired to be like Juno. Yearning for the day when he could tell the tale of House Hoslow, in blood. Knowing full well that it would break his brother's heart.[4] In combat, Diallos employs a lacerating petal whip, allowing himself to inflict damage while keeping himself far away from his opponents and an ornate greatshield, a hallmark of little lordlings who were too timid to earn a few nicks and scratches. |
![]() Lanya (servant) |
Servant of House Hoslow and childhood companion of Diallos Hoslow. She is described by Diallos as being "fickle as the wind" and that she has a habit of running off to unknown places, frequently requiring him to search for her whereabouts. Befitting of her lower status in the family, she wears a modest simple chainmail for basic protection. |

Notes
The Hoslow proverb
- "The tale of House Hoslow is told in blood."
While it is unknown who was the first member to utter the phrase, it was certainly not Diallos, as it is always written in quotation-marks within the game's subtitles whenever he utters it.- Diallos frequently interprets this proverb grimly, as the tale of the Hoslow family being defined by the spilt of blood from friends and foes alike. A tale of tragedy and revenge.
- Judging from Diallos's admiration of Juno and his desire to emulate his older brother. It is possible the proverb was first spoken by Juno himself. However, considering Juno's adoration of his gentle, younger brother, along with his low opinion of himself and his blood-stained path. It is possible that to him the blood referenced in the proverb is the blood running within their own veins. That indeed, the tale of House Hoslow is a tale of family.
Etymology
- The name "Juno" may have roots in the Roman word "uno" meaning the number "one", while "Diallos" may be based on "duo" meaning the number "two", likely referencing their order of birth.
- "Juno" may also be a reference to the Roman goddess of love, Juno. Which would befit his affection for his younger brother.
- It is also notable that the name "Diallos" may be based on "ja-loh" a word with origins in the African language Fula, meaning "bold", while "Juno" may come from the French word "jeune", meaning "young". Which would be ironic, as by this logic their names would be referring to the opposite brother instead of themselves.
