Incantations

Incantations (祈祷, Kitō; lit. "Prayers") are a type of spell in Elden Ring.

All incantations require FP to cast, with most necessitating a high investment in the Faith stat. However, some incantations are based on Intelligence or Arcane. The Incantation Scaling varies depending on their stat requirements and the player's own stats.

Incantations can only be cast using sacred seals, which act as the required catalyst.

Boosting incantations

• The Clawmark Seal and Cinquedea boosts Bestial incantations by 10% each.
• The Dragon Communion Seal boosts Dragon Communion incantations by 15%.
• The Dryleaf Seal boosts specific Golden Order and Miquella's incantations by 15%.
  • (Discus of Light, Multilayered Ring of Light , Radagon's Rings of Light, & Triple Rings of Light only)
• The Fire Knight's Seal , Messmer's Helm /Messmer's Helm (Altered) , and Fire Knight Armor (not the Altered version) boosts Messmer's Flame incantations by 15%, 3%, and 4% respectively.
• The Frenzied Flame Seal boosts Frenzied Flame incantations by 20%.
• The Giant's Seal boosts Giants' Flame incantations by 20%.
  • The incantations Catch Flame, Fire's Deadly Sin, and Flame Sling aren't boosted, as they lack a sigil.
• The Godslayer's Seal boosts Godslayer incantations (except for Noble Presence) by 10%.
  • Godskin Noble Robe boosts Noble Presence by 20%.
• The Golden Order Seal and Radiant Gold Mask boost Golden Order incantations by 10% each.
• The Gravel Stone Seal boosts Dragon Cult incantations by 15%.
• The Spiraltree Seal boosts Spiral incantations by 20%.
• Each piece of the Crucible Axe Set and Crucible Tree Set boosts Aspects of the Crucible incantations by 3.5% (14% total for a full set).
• The Divine Bird Helm boosts the effectiveness of Divine Bird Feathers by 10%.
• The Enraged Divine Beast talisman and Divine Beast Helm /Divine Beast Head boosts the effectiveness of Divine Beast Tornado by 10%.
• The Pelt of Ralva boosts the effectiveness of Roar of Rugalea by 15%.

Notes

• Flame of the Fell God, Greyoll's Roar, and Elden Stars are required to complete the Legendary Sorceries and Incantations achievement.
• No sacred seal boosts Bear Communion, Blood Oath, Divine Beast, Erdtree, Erdtree Worship, Servants of Rot, or Two Fingers incantations.
  • The Erdtree Seal does not boost Erdtree or Erdtree Worship incantations.
  • The Finger Seal does not boost Two Fingers incantations.
• The following incantations do not produce spell sigils and are unaffected by school-specific boosts: Catch Flame, Divine Beast Tornado , Divine Bird Feathers , Fire's Deadly Sin, Flame Sling, Roar of Rugalea , Placidusax's Ruin, and Watchful Spirit .

Bugs

• The Dryleaf Seal does not boost the effectiveness of Light of Miquella .
• The Spiraltree Seal does not boost the effectiveness of Divine Beast Incantations.
