Intelligence (知力, Chiryoku) is one of the main attribute stats in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

The Tarnished's Intelligence stat affects which weapons they can wield effectively and affects the damage output of weapons which have Intelligence scaling. Increasing Intelligence will also increase their resistance to magic.

The Tarnished can level Intelligence by spending Runes at Sites of Grace. Magic Defense gained through leveling Intelligence has soft caps at 20, 35, and 60 Intelligence.

Items that increase Intelligence

Semi-permanent

• Haima Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 2. Also increases Strength by 2 but decreases FP by 10%.
• Hierodas Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 2. Also increases Endurance by 2 but decreases FP by 10%.
• Imp Head (Cat): Head armor that increases Intelligence by 2.
• Karolos Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 3. Also decreases Stamina by 9%.
• Lazuli Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 3. Also increases Dexterity by 3 but decreases HP by 18%.
• Marika's Scarseal/Soreseal: Talisman that increases Intelligence by 3/5. Also increases Mind, Faith, and Arcane by 3/5 while increasing damage taken by 10%/15%. Cannot both be worn at the same time.
• Olivinus Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 3. Also decreases HP by 9%.
• Salza's Hood: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 2.
• Stargazer Heirloom: Talisman that increases Intelligence by 5.
• Twinsage Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 6. Also decreases HP and Stamina by 9% each.
• Queen's Crescent Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 3.
• Witch's Glintstone Crown: Head armor that increases Intelligence by 3. Also increases Arcane by 3 but decreases Stamina by 18%.

Temporary

• Fingerprint Nostrum: Increases Intelligence by 6 for 90 seconds. Also increases Mind, Faith, and Arcane by 6 and drains 3 HP per second (270 HP total) for the same duration. Counts as a Body Buff.
• Godrick's Great Rune: Great Rune that increases Strength by 5 upon activation with a Rune Arc. Lasts until death or until the Great Rune is switched out, and also increases Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane by 5 until death or the Great Rune is switched out.
• Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear: Crystal Tear that increases Intelligence by 10 for 3 minutes when the Flask of Wondrous Physick is used if it's equipped. Only two Crystal Tears can be equipped at the same time.
• Oath of Vengeance: Unique skill of the Grafted Blade Greatsword that increases Intelligence by 5 for 60 second upon activation. Costs 20 FP and also increases Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Faith, and Arcane by 5 for 60 seconds and greatly increases Poise for 5 seconds.
