Iris of Occultation is an item in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Description

An iris that is as dark as night.

Place on the eye of another to deny them light in all its forms. Can also be used to receive the blessing of an equipped Great Rune, at the cost of all runes currently held.

In the realm of shadow, this artifice was employed by the priests of the Erdtree to intensify the fears of their flock to magnificent effect.

Acquisition

Two can be found in the Realm of Shadow:

1. Fort of Reprimand: Enter the fort and turn to the left. Look for a hole on the floor and drop. The iris will be close by along with two enemies ambushing you.
2. Church District: Drain the water to access the lower section of the Church District. There will be two Ulcerated Tree Spirit in different areas. The one on the north will reward you the iris upon defeating it.

Use

• Can be used for either the Fire Knight Queelign or Jolán, Swordhand of Night quests. Alternatively, you can use the Iris of Occultation to get Queelign's Greatsword.
  • Queelign: You can give him the Iris of Occultation to get Queelign's Greatsword. Alternatively, give him Iris of Grace to get his ashes and summon him in battle.
  • Jolán: You can give her the Iris of Occultation to get the Sword of Night. Alternatively, give her the Iris of Grace to get her ashes (which can later be merged with Swordhand of Night Anna to get Jolán and Anna and summon both in battle).
• If not used in any quest, it can be used to receive the blessing of an equipped Great Rune once, but at the cost of all your runes.

Notes

• The Iris of Grace won't remove your runes upon use, unlike this one.
• It doesn't grant any sort of visual effect on the players eyes.
