ER Custom Icon Description.png Description

Greatsword with a blade of unusually thick steel. A coarse weapon to which polishing is a foreign concept.

Weighty even among others of its class, the impact of each strike is sure to be felt.

分厚い鉄の刃を持つ大剣
洗練とは無縁の武骨な武器

大剣の中でも重量があるが
それ故に、一撃一撃がずしりと重い

Drop: Leyndell, Royal Capital / Miquella's Haligtree

  • 4% drop chance from Misbegotten Warriors.
    • 2 Warriors can be found among the Misbegotten southeast the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace in Leyndell, before the elevator to the Forbidden Lands. One is among a group of Misbegotten just before the elevator and the other is further down, reached by not taking the path up to the elevator and instead continuing on the ground path until its end.
    • Another Warrior can be found on the route north of the Haligtree Town Placa Site of Grace in the Haligtree, praying at a statue. Keep in mind to be wary of the other nearby enemies and that this Warrior can be lured to fall of the bridge next to the Grace.

Notes Notes

  • Overall the strongest infusable Greatsword for all Affinities, with the significantly shorter Gargoyle's Greatsword generally being the runner up.
  • Strongly Strength-leaning, and will have the highest Attack Power on those Affinities.
    • Despite this strong affinity for Strength its Heavy affinity actually gives it slightly weaker Strength-scaling for "bullet"-type (i.e. doesn't scale directly with the used weapon's damage) Skills with a Heavy, Quality, or Fire affinity, giving them usually about 2% less damage than they otherwise would have. This includes, as an example, the skills Ground Slam, Storm Blade, and Flame of the Redmanes (these skills however perform as normal on any affinity besides Heavy).
  • Significantly higher weight than other Greatswords.
  • Above average Guard Boost and Physical blocking ability, outmatched only by the Greatsword of Solitude SOTE.png.

1.04
(Bug fix)
Fixed a bug where the damage of the Iron Greatsword was lower than expected when an affinity is applied. The base Fire Attack Power was increased from 104-221 to 115-244 for the Fire Affinity and from 110-253 to 122 to 280 for the Flame Art Affinity, the base Lightning Attack Power was increased from 104-221 to 115-244 for the Lightning Affinity, the base Holy Attack Power was increased from 93-253 to 108-280 for the Sacred Affinity, and the base Magic Attack Power was increased from 97-253 to 108-253 for the Magic Affinity and from 83-176 to 91-194 for the Cold Affinity. The bug was presumably that the non-Physical Attack Powers of affinities had a lower multiplier than they should have been.
