Land Octopus is an enemy in ELDEN RING (2022).

Overview

Bloodless creatures[1] often found on beaches or near ponds and lakes. They resemble writhing masses of tentacles, with two tentacles extending outwards for use in combat. A beak can be seen protruding from their bodies, between the two main tentacles. Land Octopuses eat humans in order to bear their young, and the blood of their victims runs through their otherwise milky-white ovaries.[2] They also possess a lingering warmth reminiscent of human skin, which can be felt when wearing a Land Octopus whelp on one's head.[3]

Variant Description

Larger Land Octopuses are highly resistant to damage. Attacking their beaks will eventually stagger them, causing their beak to retract inside and leaving them open to a critical attack. Their primary mode of attack is to wildly flail their front tentacles around in front of them. It is possible to cut these tentacles of, however they will regrow eventually. They may also heal themselves by eating one of their tentacles.
