Cured animal liver, dried out after pickling in an yellow medicinal solution. Craftable item.

Temporarily boosts lightning damage negation, improving damage mitigation against attacks imbued with lightning.

Increases Lightning damage negation by 15% (10% in PvP) for 120 seconds upon consumption. This counts as a Body Buff.

Compared to Lightning Fortification:
- In PvE there is a tradeoff, the Liver has greater duration (120 seconds vs 90 seconds) and much lower FP cost (0 FP versus 20 FP) while the Fortification has greater Lightning damage negation (35% versus 15%).
  - Unlike the other Liver items this item's cookbook is acquired far later in the game, making it unavailable for Leyndell, Royal Capital, one of the game's major Lightning-focused area.
- In PvP the Liver is stronger, since these effects have the same strength but the Liver has a greater duration and no FP cost.

Can be crafted after acquiring the Ancient Dragon Apostle's Cookbook [4] from a round building atop floating stone walls making a bridge upwards in Crumbling Farum Azula. It is found past the Dragon Temple Lift Site of Grace, straight across the courtyard and jumping atop two buildings on the right to get across a gap. Following across the ascending pseudo-bridge, it is guarded by 2 Giant Skeleton Beastmen.
2 found in Leyndell, Royal Capital, on the stairs leading to the Fortified Manor. From the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, head up the stairs and head right to see the stairs, which are guarded by 2 Leyndell Soldiers and 1 spear-wielding Leyndell Knight.
1 found in Crumbling Farum Azula, near the Crumbling Beast Grave Site of Grace. Head right and look to the left at a hole in the wall as soon as the next room is entered to find it.
1 found in Lake of Rot, to the side of an island near the place where the Dragonkin Soldier is fought in the eastern part of the fetid lake.
1 found in Altus Plateau, on a high rock just south of Lux Ruins.
