Loretta eventually became concerned with the plight of the Albinaurics and embarked on a long and bloody journey in search for a haven for the Albinauric people. She determined that the Haligtree was their best chance for eventual salvation.[5][6][7] It was rumored she was actually an Albinauric herself, due to the shape and symbolism associated with her Silver Mirrorshield.[8]
Loretta appears to have entered into Miquella's service, replacing the blue glintstone that once adorned her war sickle with unalloyed gold.[2] Now she stands guard within the Haligtree, refusing to abandon her post despite the fact that Miquella himself is long gone. Her lapis-lazuli blue cape is the emblem of the knightly pride that continues to guide her.[1]
She appears to be an apparition of Loretta summoned to guard Caria Manor, just as the real Loretta presumably used to do before leaving her duty in order to help find sanctuary for the mistreated Albinauric. She would eventually find it at the Haligtree, in service to demigodMiquella, where she now remains.
Defeating her disables the magical spell of warding that complicates the approach to the Manor.
The Carians were known to employ Albinaurics as servants.
Although she bleeds red when struck, so does Commander Gaius, a known First-Generation Albinauric. The red blood may be attributed to the mount and rider being coded as a single enemy, with red chosen over white because players are more likely to hit the horse or boar.
