Primeval Sorcerer Lusat
Primeval Sorcerer Lusat is an NPC in ELDEN RING (2022).
Overview
Lusat is one of the founding glintstone sorcerers[1] and the originator of the Olivinus Conspectus.[2] He hailed from Sellia[3], a town of magic-practicing assassins[4] in Caelid. At the Academy of Raya Lucaria, he studied meteors, which formed the basis of the Olivinus Conspectus. He also glimpsed into the primeval current, witnessing the final moments of a great star cluster, the sight of which broke him.[5]
Along with Primeval Sorcerer Azur, another founding glintstone sorcerer, Lusat was driven from the Academy.[6] He returned to his home of Sellia[3] and hid in a cave[7], protected by a barrier which could only be broken using a Sellian Sealbreaker.[8] In this cave his body became corroded by glintstone as he attained a near-inorganic state[9], his blue glintstone crown entirely replacing his brain and skull.[10]
After the Tarnished discovers the similarly inorganic body of Azur on Mt. Gelmir and reports his whereabouts to Sorceress Sellen, she entrusts them with a Sellian Sealbreaker and tasks them with tracking down Lusat's body. [11] The Tarnished discovers Lusat, almost immobile and covered in blue crystals, and the sorcerer bestows upon them their legendary sorcery, Stars of Ruin. With both primeval sorcerers located, Sellen has their bodies moved to the Academy of Raya Lucaria, planning to use them to hone the primeval current.[12]

Notes
- Lusat's Glintstone Staff can be found in Sellia, Town of Sorcery, in a chest beneath a chair-crypt, accessible after defeating the Nox Nightmaiden and Nox Swordstress boss fight.
- The Olivinus Glintstone Crown resembles a portrait seen in several places in the Academy of Raya Lucaria. As the Olivinus Conspectus began with Lusat, it is possible that both the portrait and the headpiece are modelled after his original appearance.
