Madding Hand (weapon) is a melee armament in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Description

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇯🇵

A glove stitched together from the flayed skin of the victims of a butcherous bloodbath. Afflicts target with madness. Raises attack power when madness is triggered in the vicinity. Forged of an unyielding, black impulse toward revenge fostered in those who were hunted down as heretics by their own brethren, these are the weapons of the utterly downtrodden.

Acquisition

• Guaranteed Drop: Abyssal Woods
  • Obtained from the killing the Madding Hand NPC in the Abyssal Woods, located south of the Woodland Trail Site of Grace.

Notes

• The Madding Hand's Unique Skill, Madding Spear-Hand Strike, deals 305 Madness build-up on hit, which can usually instantly inflict Madness on another Tarnished unless they have high Focus.
• When Madness is inflicted within the general vicinity (7 meters) of user while they have the Madding Hand in an active weapon slot, they will receive a +7.5% (+5% in PvP) increase to their Attack Power for 30 seconds.
  • This buff stacks with the Aged One's Exultation and the Black Dumpling.
  • This buff activates even if the player doesn't meet the stat requirements for the weapon.
• The Madding Hand shares the same heavy attacks with the Iron Ball and the Star Fist.
• Increasing Strength and Dexterity will increase both the Physical and Fire Attack Power; increasing Intelligence and Faith will only increase the Fire Attack Power.
• The Madness build-up is flat; it will not increase past 55 no matter the weapon level or stat investment.

Upgrading

• The Madding Hand cannot be buffed by spells or any consumables.
• The Madding Hand cannot have its Ash of War or Affinity changed.
