ER Custom Icon Description.png Description

Storied sword of House Marais, the family of executioners who presided over the Shaded Castle. One of the legendary armaments.

Elemer of the Briar, the Bell Bearing Hunter, snatched the sword from the site of his looming execution, and furnished it with battle skills from his home of Eochaid.

Notes Notes

  • The skill, Eochaid's Dancing Blade, is both chargeable (benefiting from the Godfrey Icon) and actually counts for repeated-hits boosters such as the Winged Sword Insignias and Thorny Cracked Tear, something many other repeated-hits skills such as the Ghiza's Wheel's skill Spinning Wheel or the Ornamental Straight Sword's skill Golden Tempering's special heavy attacks don't.
    • Since the skill's damage is based entirely of off the weapon's base Attack Power, and about a third of the Regalia's damage is Magic damage, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear and Terra Magica functionally give +7% damage and +7.5% (+5% in PvP) damage respectively if they can be set up beforehand.
  • Though the Strength-scaling may appear to entirely outmatch the Arcane-scaling, the Arcane-scaling actually applies to BOTH the Physical damage and the Magic damage. This effectively places it as a high C-scaling (0.89 scaling instead of technical 0.54 scaling). Also, due to scaling falling off around 54 points in a damage stat (see the Weapon Scaling page) a hybrid Strength/Arcane build actually has slightly higher Attack Power than a pure Strength build.
    • For comparison (unmentioned stats are at the minimum required level): 45 Strength and 45 Arcane grants 686 Attack Power (732 AP if two-handed), 67 Strength and 23 Arcane grants 679 AP (710 AP if two-handed), and 24 Strength and 66 Arcane grants 659 AP (695 AP if two-handed).
  • Has unique two-handed heavy attacks, which are overhead slams.
    • This attack has ever so slightly higher Attack Power multipliers than usual and are 0.4 seconds slower to use, whether charged or not.
    • Two-handed heavy attacks are always the same overhead slam.
