When Godrick was hounded from Leyndell, the Royal Capital, this was one of a multitude of treasures he took with him. Also known as "Marika's Mischief."

ゴドリックが、王都ローデイルを追われた時 大量に持ち出した秘蔵品のひとつであり

「マリカの戯れ」としても知られる

Effects

Transforms the player into an object, typically based on assets found in the player's current location. This effect lasts until the player takes damage, rolls, jumps, attacks, or uses a consumable.

Acquisition

Found in a treasure chest in Stormveil Castle, in a room patrolled by a single Banished Knight.

Usage

The Mimic's Veil effect works on all enemies' AI. If you have it activated and are stationary, enemies will not detect you. This can be used to sneak past patrolling enemies, to set up opportunities for backstabs, or simply to guarantee your safety while you are AFK in a dangerous area.

Interestingly, the effect also works on the Frenzied Flame Tower near the Grand Lift of Dectus -- so long as you are stationary with the Veil on, the Tower's effect will not Frenzy you.

The most common use of the Mimic's Veil, however, is in PVP situations. Invaders can use the Mimic's Veil to set up ambushes of unwary Hosts, or Hosts and Furled Fingers can use it to counter-ambush Invaders unfamiliar with its effects or simply not expecting it.
