Rewards
Adel, Baron of Night, also called Gaping Jaw, is a boss in Elden Ring: Nightreign and one of the Nightlords.
Overview
A gigantic creature with a gaping jaw looking to devour anything in its path. Imbued with lightning when enraged.
Only poison can stop its onslaught.
Behavior
Strategy
- Adel is resistant to fire and lightning, and highly resistant to bleed.
- Adel is also classified as a lesser dragon, so all anti-dragon weapons will do extra damage to it. Striking Adel with any anti-dragon attack will also immediately stun it out of its grab attack animation
- If Adel is poisoned, it will stop what it is currently doing to regurgitate a pile of black sludge. This leaves it open to attack, and while it will cure itself of poison, it will also take all the damage that the full poison duration will inflict to it.
- Once it reaches phase 2 where it electrifies itself, it stops exhibiting this behavior.
- Adel's grab attacks inflict blood loss. If the full animation is completed, Adel also receives an attack buff.
- In phase 2, Adel becomes electrified and makes leaps that strike the ground and create lightning-infused fissures. This ground-based area-of-attack can be jumped over.
