The ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN Network Test is a demo intended to stress test ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN's online matchmaking servers.
While the release of the full game would be made available on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC/Steam. Access to the network test would be limited to Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
The demo was first announced on ELDEN RING's official X (formerly "Twitter") account on the 13th of December 2024, informing that registry for player-participation in the network test opens at the 10th of January 2025 at 3 PM CEST.
The registration period would officially en on the 20th of January 2025, at 3PM CEST and many applicants would be notified for their inclusion in the test at the 30th of January 2025, 3PM CEST. Participants would begin to receive their download codes at the 11th of February 2025, of which there would be a total of 85025 download codes on offer for the selected participants on Playstation 5, and 12898 on XBOX Series X/S.

The Network Test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch. This large-scale Network Stress Test is designed to evaluate various aspects of the online system's functionality and performance.
We are looking forward to your cooperation to make ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN even better.
*The ingame contents are limited for Network Test Version. and some text and game feature might be different from the product version.
This test is also open to those who have not yet subscribed to PlayStation®Plus or Xbox Game PassCore.
Playable time zone is same in the world. Servers are open in the following 5 sessions (Timings are subject to change):

Feb 15th 04:00 - 07:00 CET
Feb 16th 20:00 - 23:00 CET
Feb 16th 12:00 - 15:00 CET

When the US registration page went online, PC was mistakenly listed as a possible platform for Network Test participants. This was corrected within a couple hours.
When download codes started being distributed, some participants accidentally received codes for the other platform than the one they original signed up for. These cases would eventually be corrected, with the participants being given an erratum containing the correct download code soon after.
