Equilibrious Beast (Everdark Sovereign) is the enhanced version of Libra, Creature of Night.

This fight is only available for a limited time.

Fight Description

As with the original Libra, the party gets to speak with the Scale-Bearing Merchant in the middle of the arena, and select from one of his deals (or refuse it if they so desire). The deals on offer are no different from the original Libra version.

Everdark Libra engages his new phase change after depleting about 15% of his HP.

Hexes

During the enhanced fight, Libra will randomly cast a Hex in the Arena. The Hex will be announced as text in the top right corner of the screen. While Libra is casting a hex, he has a 70% damage reduction buff during the casting animation.

If Libra gets inflicted with Madness, he goes on a rampage and cannot cast these hexes until after the rampage ends.

*Note: Hex is an unofficial term.

Hex Description Notes
A demon summons the Condemned A copy of each players' Nightfarer is summoned.
  • Each Condemned spawns with a randomized loadout from a small pre-defined pool, shown below in the next section.
  • The Condemned spawned during this fight do not count as Night Invaders and will not trigger the "Attack power increased for each Night Invader defeated" relic effect.
  • After defeating any Condemned, it will drop an orb. That orb cures all Madness buildup on the player and restores 129 HP.
  • When this hex is cast, any Condemned that's still alive will be healed for 50% of its max HP, and receive a 20% damage boost. The damage buff can stack, incrementing by 2% for each subsequent time the Condemned gets healed this way.
A demon incites a riot The Condemned will attack the closest creature
  • Libra summons additional Condemned - up to two per player, maximum of six in a trio expedition.
  • Friendly-fire is active for the Condemned during the riot and they can harm both Libra and the other Condemned.
A demon preaches madness All attacks inflict madness.
  • This includes both the players and the condemned.
A demon shrouds allies Ally players cannot see each other.
  • You wont be able to see where your allies are, and they won't be able to see where you are. If any ally is downed, you can only see the purple aura of their Near-Death state.
  • Players can still ping their current location to help locate themselves.
A demon offers a challenge Everyone's HP is cursed = Max HP is cut in half (grey bar), even for Libra.
  • Libra only casts this Hex if at less than 50% HP, so it has no consequences on him.
  • Lasts for around 30 seconds
Ever-Watching Eye (Unannounced) An ever-watching eye appears on top of each player, inflicting madness buildup
  • You can avoid Madness damage if you use your Ultimate Art right before the bar builds up completely.
A demon offers a false blessing Rings appear around all players. Every time a flask is used, lose one level. Flasks are unlimited at this time. -

The Condemned

The Condemned are a copy of each player in the group but with random predefined weapons.

Strategy

Weaknesses

Libra is weak to both FireERN Affinity Icon Fire.png and HolyERN Affinity Icon Holy (1.02.2).png damage

Inflicting Madness to it will make the fight easier since it will make Libra stop casting spells. This includes its hexes. If Libra "preaches madness", the team should focus their attacks on him (provided all Condemned are already dealt with) to cripple his moveset. The Condemned are also susceptible to Madness and will take a chunk of damage the moment it is inflicted upon them.

Scarlet Rot and Poison are also easy to trigger on him, and this will ensure that you continue damaging the boss even when you focus on the Condemned.

Shifting Earths

All shifting earths have advantages:

  • Noklateo: Has a 20% chance of having the Frenzied Tower event, which guarantees Frenzied Flame loot. The city's average secret bonuses (revival and weapon duplication) also help a lot.
  • Rotten Woods: The HP bonus and the ability to regain HP after taking damage aid in survival, especially when fighting the Condemned. Any Rot infliction can also shorten the fight especially when Libra continues to take damage while the party has to focus their efforts on the Condemned.
  • Crater: Having a legendary +3 weapon is beneficial, specially for those who have an excellent starting weapon. The fire-based weapon drops also do additional damage to Libra.
  • Mountaintop: More niche but, like Noklateo, has a slightly higher chance of a Frenzied Tower.

General Strategy

Look for Clarifying Boluses ER Icon Tool Clarifying Boluses.png on Day 1 or 2. If a boss reward offers increased ailment resistance, prioritize it unless an even better option is on offer.

As the Condemned appear, focus on taking them out before continuing to fight Libra. If a Condemned is still alive when Libra is summoning more, they will get healed and receive a long-lasting buff to make them even harder to kill, complicating the fight. Any Condemned with ranged weaponry, particularly Ironeye, Recluse and Wylder, will constantly and accurately shoot the players from afar, which can have devastating effects if left unchecked.

"Less Likely to be Targeted" passives will reduce the odds of getting swarmed on by multiple Condemned. If Libra "incites a riot", the increased numbers of Condemned are more likely to be fighting each other, leaving some breathing room to attack.

Area-of-effect attacks and skills are especially useful in this fight as they can damage Libra and any Condemned caught within.

Other things and strategies to consider:

  • DPS Check: With a team that has very high damage output, killing the condemned quickly will give ample space to actually fight Libra. If you take too much time to kill them, Libra will heal them when it summons new Condemned.
  • Eagle Taunt: The Guardian can be used to taunt the condemned into attacking him. Note that this can backfire if a Condemned Raider is on the enemy time, since he does massive stamina damage when trying to block his attacks.
  • Easy Clones: Knowing that the Condemned will always be a copy of the player characters, try picking (as a team) characters that you find easy to deal with.
  • Fire Builds: If lucky, try focusing on Fire weapons and spells, since most of them have AOE damage and Libra is weak to it. This will help you to damage both the boss and the adds at the same time.
