Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow is a boss in Elden Ring: Nightreign and one of the Nightlords.

Overview

One of the Nightlords, Fulghor is encountered in the Spirit Shelter after surviving two nights in Limveld while undertaking the Darkdrift Knight expedition, which is unlocked after defeating Gladius, Beast of Night.

An ancient battle-consumed centuar, he wields a great spear that is not only capable of channeling the storm, but is also imbued with a sacred form of the Night's power. Notably, he is missing his left arm, and it is said to have been severed by his former companions that betrayed him.

In his second phase, a dark purple liquid starts spurting out from where his left arm used to be. Afterwards, he violently grows a dark beast-like arm, jumps into the air, and slams the hand to the ground, creating a violent shockwave.

Moveset

Giant Leap
All Phases Physical/Slash Cannot Be Parried
Fulghor reels back and raises his spear upwards. Afterwards, he leaps high into the air and strikes the ground with the hilt, creating a large shockwave across the floor. The shockwave can be safely jumped, but if one is close enough to Fulghor, roll at the right time instead.
Spear Drag
All Phases Physical/Strike Cannot Be Parried
Fulghor moves to the player's left side, and drags the spear across the ground, finishing in an uppercut. Roll right into Fulghor's right arm as soon as the spear begins to drag.
Foot Stomp
All Phases Physical/Strike Cannot Be Parried
Fulghor quickly gets on his hind legs, and stomps the ground with his front legs, creating small shockwaves in the area. As this attack comes out quick, it would be better to roll the attack than to try and jump it, as the front legs will knock you out of the air. If the player is behind Fulghor when he performs this move, it will likely not hit.
Spear Thrust
All Phases Pierce Cannot Be Parried
Fulghor steps to the side and readies his spear, executing a powerful thrust that has a deceptively large range. It is also telegraphed by a loud grunt. Rolling right to the side as soon as Fulghor moves to the side, or shortly after you hear his loud grunting noise.
Spear Swipe
All Phases Physical/Slash Cannot Be Parried
Fulghor trots a short distance before swiping his right side with his spear, which can be followed by other attacks. Dodging forward can help maintain aggression, and allow you to stay close to Fulghor.
Storm Sweep
All Phases Physical/Slash Cannot Be Parried
This attack is usually indicated by Fulghor's spear channeling the power of the storm. Fulghor gallops away, and then gallops back to the player to perform a sweep attack, also firing powerful storm winds. As soon as you hear or see Fulghor's spear surrounded by wind, move towards him, and then roll into the attack so that you don't get caught by the storm projectile.
Storm Combo
All Phases Physical/Slash Cannot Be Parried
This attack is usually indicated by Fulghor's spear channeling the power of the storm. Fulghor winds up his spear and sweeps from right to left, sending forth powerful stormy winds. He then does this a second time, this time from left to right. On the third time, he gallops away, and then comes back to the player to sweep once more. As soon as you hear or see Fulghor's spear surrounded by wind, move towards him, and then roll into the attack so that you don't get caught by the storm projectile. If deflecting or blocking, staying up close is recommended, but do not stay too close, or else you will be dead-angled, meaning that you will be hit regardless.
Flying Lunge
Phase 2 Physical/Pierce Cannot Be Parried
Leaps back, sprouting wings as they raise their sword up. They will then lean downwards and perform a lunge with long range. The safest way to dodge is by dodging into the attack rather than away.
Aspects of the Crucible: Tail
Phase 2 Physical/Pierce Cannot Be Parried
Grows a large golden tail and sweeps the area around them. A second sweep can be performed, covering a much larger area. Dodging against the direction of the sweep is the safest way to dodge the attack. However, it can also be jumped over albeit with more difficulty.

Strategy

Lightning damage is the preferred damage type for this battle, as not only will it deal the most amount of damage to him, it will also make dealing with his special attack much easier to manage. When he winds up and prepares to stab the holy spear into the ground, around 1-2 hits of Lightning damage will cause him to stagger, coating his entire body with electric sparks. If he prepares this attack while coated in electricity, Lightning damage will still stagger him easily, but he will still execute his special attack, albeit much weakened this time around.
