Gaping Jaw (Everdark Sovereign) is the enhanced version of Adel.

Behavior

Everdark Adel starts already electrified exhibiting its original phase 2 behavior. This also means that poison no longer staggers it.

Once Everdark Adel falls to 50% HP, it enters "Phase 3" and starts the phase transition with its new attack.

  • Adel floats in the air and teleports back and forth before slamming down on the ground and charging a purple lightning discharge. Players caught in the large radius of this attack will take lightning damage.
  • After the lightning discharge, Adel makes a giant leap into the air, with a purple beam shining on the ground indicating the point of impact. While this is happening, intermittent lightning strikes will harass players.
  • Once Adel slams down at its indicated point of impact, any player who has yet to make enough distance will take large amounts of lightning damage, while Adel begins generating a giant tornado that slowly expands from it. Players outside the range of the tornado will also see blue spiritsprings appear at the tornado's edge. If they continue to linger outside the tornado they will take damage over time, and should jump into the tornado using the spiritsprings to continue the fight safely.
  • Adel can move in and out of the tornado unimpeded. When it prepares another discharge, the tornado will dissipate and permit the players to move out of its range.

Adel's new grab attack has a longer animation that will inflict bleed twice in succession to anyone without massive bleed resistance. This is lethal to anyone caught in it, however it can be interrupted by anyone causing it to stagger using an Ultimate or a weapon with an anti-dragon effect.
