Lookout Tower
| For the location type in ELDEN RING (2022), see Lookout Towers. |
Lookout Towers are a location type in ELDEN RING: NIGHTREIGN (2025). They are ruined buildings that house a small rack of ranged weapons on the second floor.
While not directly marked on the map with their own icon, they will always appear in the same locations in every expedition, with exceptions only being dependent on which Shifting Earth event is in effect.
Each lookout tower usually has a group of smaller enemies settled nearby, with two towers in particular being inhabited by Frenzied Commoners, who are able to conjure a Flame of Frenzy at the top of the tower on rare occasions.
Their consistent appearances and small but predictable loot pool make these landmarks an excellent source of ranged weapons in case of emergency, should an expedition only feature Main Encampments that only yielded lackluster ranged weapons or no encampments at all.
List of Lookout Towers
Should Shifting Earth: Noklateo, the Shrouded City be in effect, then this tower will not appear.
Should Shifting Earth: Rotted Woods be in effect, then this tower will not appear.
Should Shifting Earth: The Crater be in effect, then this tower will not appear.
Frenzy-Flaming Tower
On rare occasions, a Frenzied Flame will appear above the towers settled by Frenzied Commoners. This flame will continuously inflict Madness buildup on players across a large area within its line-on-sight.
The players can dispel this flame by defeating all of the Frenzied Commoners within the tower's vicinity. Doing so will make two Dormant Powers appear on the tower's third floor. With one of these powers offering a general selection weapons and effects, while the other exclusively offers equipment that can inflict madness buildup on enemies.
Frenzy-Flaming Towers have the highest chance of appearing on Equilibrious Beast expeditions.
