Remembrance Quests are quests that can be accessed through the Journal. Each character has its own set of quests.

From the Journal, selecting "Commence Remembrance Quest" will put the player in the Realm of Remembrance, indicated by the edges of the screen shrouded in a faint blurry border. Most of the Shrouded Roundtable Hold remains unchanged, but if the player attempts to switch characters at any point, they will leave the Realm of Remembrance and the Remembrance Quest is put on hold. The Journal also hints the player towards their next immediate objective, but they can also manually pause their Remembrance Quest.

While in the Rountable Hold, viewing the map also reveals the location of the next objective with a yellow exclamation mark icon. When the next step in progressing the Remembrance Quest requires an expedition, the player is prompted with "Personal objective added".

Some Remembrance Quests require the player to go on an expedition to retrieve an item from Limveld. This is done by initiating an expedition while in the Realm of Remembrance. The player will only be matched with other players that are not progressing their Remembrance Quest. For players in a group, only one player must be in the Realm of Remembrance for the expedition to acknowledge their personal objective, and if multiple team members are in their own Realm of Remembrance, the group leader's personal objective will be favored. If the personal objective involves a specific Shifting Earth event, that event will always be active to enable the objective.

While commencing an expedition required for a Remembrance Quest, the player's personal objective will be marked with a ERN Map Icon Mission Objective.png. While the other teammates cannot see that objective, it becomes visible when the player pings their objective. Completing the personal objective often involves defeating unique enemies that reward all players with a tidy sum of Runes, and the player will gain an icon under their HP display to indicate to the entire team that their objective has been accomplished. Once an objective is achieved, completing the run, either in victory or defeat, will return the player to the Realm of Remembrance and allow them to proceed with their quest.

Completion of Remembrance Quests reward the player with unique Relics, additional Vessels for Relic Rites, and a bonus Remembrance Garb once all of that Nightfarer's Quests are completed.

Wylder's Journal will only begin advancing once the player unlocks the Duchess.

Quest 1

The first Remembrance Quest becomes available once the player can access chapter 3 of the Wylder's Journal.

  1. Speak with the Iron Menial in the workshop just past the Journal. He will ask you to procure a whetstone.
  2. Commence any expedition as Wylder. Travel into the mines in the southeast corner of the map to find the whetstone.
    • If approaching from the lake, travel to the opposite side of the mine, as if you're attempting to exit to the other side. Rather than leave the opposite entrance, turn around and walk underneath the wooden platforms.
    • If approaching from the eastern cliffs entrance, do not enter the side tunnel that would lead to the troll, nor go up the wooden stairs. Instead, walk underneath the stairs.
  3. With the whetstone in hand, return to the Iron Menial. You will get two minor Relics as a side reward. Inspect the item to your left as well - that is the Mended Earring, which belongs to the Duchess.
  4. Walk into the next room and hold both earrings up in the skylight.
  5. Give the Mended Earring to the Duchess. She states that this earring is of importance to her, and it will lead her to someone dear to her.

This rewards the Slate Whetstone relic.

Quest 2

The second Remembrance Quest becomes available once the player can access chapter 5 of the Wylder's Journal.

  1. Enter the library in the west wing of the Rountable Hold.
  2. Search and interact with three different books. You will then be informed of a sound of a heavy door opening.
  3. Go down the stairs next to the Small Jar Bazaar, then turn around and head down the next flight of stairs. This leads you to the crypt underneath the Hold.
  4. Speak to the Iron Menial, interact with the altar and two sarcophagi and then speak to the Iron Menial again to ask about the Priestess. He will inform you that the Priestess is trapped by her duty to the Hold.
  5. Head out to the shore and speak with the Duchess. Ask her "Are you trapped here?"

    • Approaching the objective item will cause a Mimic Troll to spawn. Defeat it, then interact with the objective to obtain the Silver Tear.
