Special Events are rare events in ELDEN RING: NIGHTREIGN (2025) that offer unique challenges and rewards. The current Nightlord will affect the chances os spawning.

Overview

Only one event might happen per expedition, and they appear depending on the Nightlord: [1]

Raids:

Raid Nightlords
Morgott Invasion * Adel, Gnoster, Heolstor
Maris Bubbles * Gnoster, Caligo, Heolstor
Gnoster Plague Maris, Libra, Heolstor
Libra's Curse Fulghor, Caligo, Heolstor

Events:

Event Nightlords
Frenzied Tower Gnoster, Libra
Extra Night Boss Adel, Fulghor
Night Horde Gladius, Maris, Fulghor
Meteor Strike Gladius, Adel, Caligo
Walking Mausoleum Maris, Caligo
Old Sorcerer's Rise Gnoster, Libra

Frenzied Flame Towers, Walking Mausoleums, and difficult Sorcerer's Rises are in the map from the start. All other events are configured to occur on either Day 1 or Day 2. The game waits a random amount of time from the start of the day to trigger the event. Event-specific conditions like player positions must also be satisfied.[1]

  • Day 1 events happen randomly 6-8 minutes in.
  • Otherwise, Day 2 events happen randomly 2-8 minutes in.
  • * When Shifting Earth is active, Day 2 Night Boss events (*) happen randomly 2-3 minutes in.[1]

Raids

A powerful enemy will attack the expedition.

Fell Omen Raid

  • The Fell Omen will appear, targeting only one player. The targeted player will have a red dot on their character. The Fell Omen will relentlessly pursue his target all across the map and can even teleport to catch elusive players.
    • The entire map is covered in a translucent red circle during this event to convey there is no escaping him.
    • If the targeted party member dies just once, the raid ends in failure and the team has a permanent debuff wherein they take 10% extra damage from all sources.
    • If the Fell Omen is defeated, a permanent buff is acquired: Every grace touched increments the damage done to enemies.
      • The buff is individual and not shared, meaning that it buffs each individual based on grace it personally has touched.[Needs extra confirmation.]

Sentient Pest Raid

Players are supposed to follow the dark clouds of locusts.

"Find the enemy who is stealing your runes"

  • A swarm of Locusts attack the players in the form of a dark cloud.
    • If a player is hit, they will lose a level.
    • With every cloudy explosion, the swarm of locusts will travel in a direction. Following the locusts will lead the player to the Sentient Pest.
    • Killing the Sentient Pest will award enough Runes to each player to regain all the levels that were stolen. The party also receives a buff.
      • The buff gives everyone a small chance to earn runes every time they hit an enemy.

Augur Raid

  • Gigantic Blue Spheres spawn on the map.
  • Any player that touches any orb will be teleported to a fight against Augur.
    • Defeating Augur will permanently buff the team: Healing with Flasks now increases Focus Points too.

Libra Raid

"A demons casts its curse."
  • Libra's face will flash on everyone's screens, cursing them with -30% max HP.
  • Libra's location will be marked on the map with a translucent red circle. If found, he will demand payment (15000 Runes on Day 1, 35000 Runes on Day 2) to lift the curse.
  • Only one player needs to make the payment to complete the raid. This reward the party with a buff.
    • Each player's attack power will gain a boost that scales with the amount of Runes they have on hand.
  • After paying off Libra, talking to him again allows the player to select from a group of deals that lack the cost associated with them.
  • Attacking Libra will cause him to fight back. Defeating him also lifts the curse.

Extra Night Boss

"The Night threatens us anew"
  • After defeating a Night Boss and collecting the rewards, a new boss will spawn yet again.
  • If the Site of Grace or the path to the Spirit Shelter has not appeared after defeating the night boss, it is a clear sign that a second night boss will appear.

Events

Meteor Strike

"A meteorite has fallen"

Wandering Mausoleum

  • A Wandering Mausoleum will appear.
    • The Mausoleum will be in the map since the very beginning of the match.
    • If the Mausoleum has not bein found by the players, a red circle will appear on the map to indicate its location.
    • Entering the Mausoleum will allow the party to duplicate any weapon they posses.

Frenzied Flame Tower

The event will appear in the map as a gigantic red circle.
  • A Frenzied Flame Tower on the map will be augmented.
    • Looking directly at the tower will build up Madness, so players must cover behind terrain when afar (mountains, walls, etc.)
    • The objective is to kill all the worshippers at the tower, BOTH the ones on top and the ones on the ground.
    • Completing the event will reward the team with a buff of their choice, and a weapon of frenzy of their choice.

Hordes of the Night

A blue mist appears: Getting close will spawn multiple enemies.

Possible Hordes:

  • Two Giant Crows and two Monstruous Dogs.
  • A bunch of Revenant Followers; mounted and unmounted.
  • Trolls and Knights.
