Tricephalos (Everdark Sovereign) is the enhanced version of Nightreign:Gladius, Beast of Night.

This fight is only available for a limited time.

Fight Description

Gladius starts the fight in its second phase from the original version, split up into three separate entities and suffering the same attack and defense debuffs when taking Holy damage.

Once it falls to about 75% HP, the three dogs merge into one to commence the Everdark phase, demonstrating new attacks.

When at about 25% HP, Everdark Gladius demonstrates the ability to split and merge, with one new rushing attack.

New Moves

As soon as he transforms, he will prepare a gigantic explosion similar to the one Heolstor does when he opens up the sky in his second phase. It's recommended to simply run far far away where the nuke can't hit you, especially when playing any ranged Nightfarer.

At some point, he can do a triple charge attack, very similar to Fulghor's travelling a very long distance very quickly.

The next time he separates, each dog can individually do an enhanced charge/trample attack similar to Fulghor's.

Strategy

The increased damage from Everdark Gladius lets it two-shot even high-Vigor characters. During the run, focus on building up damage resistance to avoid untimely deaths.

General Strategy

This boss is weak to Holy, so look for Holy-themed points of interest to get Holy-infused weaponry.

Survival is key here, so load up on weapon passives that provide bonus damage negation, such as "Damage Negation while at Full HP" or "Successive Attacks Negate Damage".

Character-Specific Strategies

Ironeye: As with base Gladius, the easiest strategy is to surround Gladius and keep your distance with Ironeye. A team of three Ironeyes should have an easy time.

Guardian: Many of Gladius attacks deal heavy Fire Damage. Most shields usually don't have a very high Fire Damage Negation, so caution is advised.

Raider: Use your abilities defensively - ready a Retaliate to tank through an attack you can't dodge, and use the invincibility frames from the Totem Stela windup to bypass getting hit. Gladius struggles with hitting players atop the Totem Stela so this can be used as a respite for healing or avoiding an attack.

The rest of the characters don't need any special instructions (Keep distance with casters. Dodge with melee but be aware that this dog runs around the map very quickly, so running after him can be counterproductive without a gap closer.)
