A legendary talisman depicting the ancient king whose seat lies at the heart of the storm beyond time. Extends the duration of sorceries and incantations.

It is said that the ancient royal city of Farum Azula has been slowly crumbling since time immemorial.

Acquisition

• Obtained from a chest in Crumbling Farum Azula, guarded by three Beastmen and an invading Recusant Bernahl. From Beside the Great Bridge, climb up to the bridge, and head north, down some stairs and eventually a ladder, to reach a long walkway, where the invasion occurs. The chest is in the tower at the end of this walkway.

Effect

Increases the duration of Incantations and Sorceries, and the skill Rallying Standard, by +30%.

• Affected Incantations: Assassin's Approach, Barrier of Gold, Bestial Vitality, Black Flame Blade, Black Flame's Protection, Blessing of the Erdtree, Blessing's Boon, Bloodflame Blade, Divine Fortification, Dragonbolt Blessing, Dragonbolt of Florissax , Electrify Armament, Electrocharge , Fire's Deadly Sin, Flame Fortification, Flame, Grant Me Strength, Flame, Protect Me, Golden Lightning Fortification, Howl of Shabriri, Immutable Shield, Law of Causality, Lightning Fortification, Lord's Divine Fortification, Magic Fortification, Order's Blade, Poison Armament, Protection of the Erdtree, and Vyke's Dragonbolt.
• Affected Sorceries: Frozen Armament, Mantle of Thorns , Scholar's Armament, Scholar's Shield, Starlight, Terra Magica, Unseen Blade, and Unseen Form.

Notes

• Rallying Standard is the only Skill that has its effect duration extended by the Old Lord's Talisman.
• Spells that apply HP regeneration keep their old healing rate, effectively increasing total healing of those spells by 30%.
• The travel distance of spells are not affected.
• The duration buff is immediately cancelled if the player casts a spell and then removes the talisman.
• Buffs applied to Spirit Ashes do not have their duration extended.
• Any buff applied to the wearer has its duration extended, even if they weren't the one to cast it or if another player isn't wearing the talisman. For example, Barrier of Gold will still have its duration extended for allies wearing the talisman, even if the caster themself isn't wearing it.
• This is one of the eight talismans needed for the Legendary Talismans trophy/achievement.
