Ordovis's Greatsword is a greatsword in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Greatsword of Ordovis, one of the two honored as foremost among the Crucible Knights.

This sword is imbued with an ancient holy essence. Its red tint exemplifies the nature of primordial gold, said to be closer in nature to life itself.

Acquisition

Guaranteed drop: Auriza Hero's Grave ^{(Altus Plateau)}

• Ordovis's Greatsword is received upon defeating the Crucible Knight Ordovis and Crucible Knight duo boss at the bottom of the Auriza Hero's Grave.

Notes

• Benefits mostly from Strength, with Dexterity offering almost no returns, and Faith providing mediocre amounts of Holy damage. This is especially true because the skill only scales with the weapon's Attack Power, rather than a secondary Attribute, as is usually the case.
• As the skill is chargeable, the Godfrey Icon is useful for those who wish to maximize its increased damage and take advantage of the extra poise.
• Both the skill and the weapon deal primarily Physical damage.

Upgrading

• Ordovis's Greatsword cannot be buffed or infused.
• Ordovis's Greatsword can be upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones.

Trivia

• This weapon's name was originally spelled "Ordovis' Greatsword" during the Closed Network Test.
• In the Closed Network Test, the description mentioned that there were a total of 16 Crucible Knights, which remains true in the base game.
  • The total count increased to 17 with the release of Shadow of the Erdtree.
