A crystal tear formed slowly over the age where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wonderous Physick. The resulting concoction purifies the curse from Mohg, Lord of Blood's terrifying rite of blood.

Acquisition

Guaranteed drop: Second Church of Marika ^{(Altus Plateau)}

• Dropped by Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger when she invades in the Second Church of Marika. This happens after Bloody Hunter Yura's moves there, either due to progressing his questline or by his death.
  • Progressing Yura's quest to this point requires aiding him against Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin at Academy of Raya Lucaria and exhausting his dialogue there afterwards.
  • Killing Yura directly or crossing an unknown line between the entrance to the Forbidden Lands and the Grand Lift of Rold is the secondary trigger.

Effect

Greatly reduces the damage from Mohg, Lord of Blood's Bloodboon Ritual after the Flask of Wondrous Physick is used.

Lasts until the user dies.

Notes

• This item makes the fight against Mohg, Lord of Blood significantly easier by mitigating the boss's curse-effect, significantly reducing damage taken from his Bloodboon Ritual.
  • It does not prevent Mohg from recovering HP during the attack, however, and has no use outside of his fight.
• Though it takes up one of two Crystal Tear slots in the Flask of Wondrous Physick, as Bloodboon Ritual generally requires using 3 charges of the Flask of Crimson Tears to counteract the damage it does this is a fairly good trade.
