Rapier is a melee armament in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Description

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇯🇵

A piercing sword with a sharp, slender blade. In addition to this weapon's thrusting attack prowess, it also boasts the ability to be used while guarding with a shield.

As one of the smaller piercing swords, quick successive thrusts are easy to perform, but without a cutting edge, it cannot be used for slashing attacks.

Notes

• At 130 Critical it has the second highest Critical Attack boost in the game, a trait shared with the Dagger and surpassed only by the Miséricorde's 140 Critical.
  • In practice, the higher Attack Power of the Rapier can actually make its Critical Attacks slightly stronger than the Miséricorde's Critical Attacks.
• The shortest Thrusting Sword.
• A Dexterity-leaning weapon with its Affinities.
• When using its Keen affinity it actually has slightly weaker Dexterity-scaling for "bullet"-type (i.e. doesn't scale directly with the used weapon's damage) Skills with a Keen, Quality, Lightning, or Cold affinity, giving them usually about 2% less damage than they otherwise would have. This includes, as an example, the skills Beast's Roar, Storm Blade, Thunderbolt, and Hoarfrost Stomp (these skills however perform as normal on any affinity besides Keen).
• Overall the weakest infusable Thrusting Sword on all Affinities except for Keen.
