Rileigh the Idle is a hostile NPC in Elden Ring.
Overview
The confessors loyally serve the Two Fingers by quietly disposing of their enemies.[1] The Roundtable Hold once had a sect of such assassins, appointed with hunting down the Tarnished who had strayed from guidance, and among them Crepus was their leader.[2]
Rileigh the Idle, one of the confessors, became a target of the Recusants of Volcano Manor. His sign is found in Altus Plateau, in the ravine south of the Shaded Castle.

Questline Progression
- Mt. Gelmir (Volcano Manor)
- After joining the Volcano Manor and eliminating Old Knight Istvan under Tanith's request, retrieve the second Letter from Volcano Manor to unlock Rileigh's invasion sign in Altus Plateau.
- (Optional) With Istvan dead, you can also talk to Patches the Untethered to receive Letter to Patches, tasking you with killing Great Horned Tragoth in Liurnia of the Lakes.
- Mt. Gelmir (Volcano Manor)
- Once Rileigh is disposed of, return to Tanith to receive the Serpentbone Blade: the Red Letter will now appear, targetting Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
- You can also visit Recusant Bernahl to receive the Letter to Bernahl, offering you to join him in his hunt against Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
