Notes Notes

  • The Unique Skill, Corpse Piler, is a unique version of Double Slash that has longer range and extra Bleed build-up.
  • Although the Arcane scaling is lower than the Dexterity scaling, it is slightly advantageous to level up the former when using Rivers of Blood. Dexterity will only increase the Physical Attack Power, while Arcane will increase both the Physical and Fire Attack Power simultaneously, on top of increasing the Blood Loss build-up of the weapon.

Trivia

  • The weapon's Japanese name, Shizanketsuga (屍山血河), is a four-character idiom referring to mounds of corpses and "rivers" of blood left in the aftermath of a battle.[1]
    • Similarly, Rivers of Blood's Unique Skill is called Shishiruirui (死屍累々) in Japanese, another idiom that also refers to heaps of corpses left on a battlefield.[2]
  • In 1.00, Rivers of Blood originally scaled with Faith instead of Arcane.
