Sacrificial Twig

Sacrificial Twig is a consumable talisman in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

A total of 9 of these talismans may be acquired normally, and an unlimited number may be acquired randomly by killing certain enemies.

Description

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A talisman fashioned from a dried twig, so slender that it might snap at the slightest touch.
Prevent rune loss upon death, but will be lost itself in exchange.

Believed to be a twig pruned from the Erdtree long, long ago.

Acquisition

• Purchased for 5,000 runes from Patches, in Murkwater Cave in northern Limgrave, then later in Volcano Manor in central Mt. Gelmir.
• Purchased for 3,000 runes each (up to 3) from the Isolated Merchant in southwestern Weeping Peninsula, in southwestern Limgrave.
• Obtained from a corpse in eastern Limgrave, found lying in front of a large gravestone, on a cliff west of Mistwood Ruins.
• Obtained from Edgar upon first speaking to him in Castle Morne, in southeastern Limgrave.
• Obtained from a corpse in southwestern Liurnia of the Lakes found lying on a stone ledge that juts out from a cliff, below the Malefactor's Evergaol.
• Obtained from a chest in central Altus Plateau, found within an enemy camp northwest of Altus Highway Junction.
• Obtained from Fia in the Roundtable Hold after speaking to her about Rogier.
• Obtained by killing Lesser Wormface enemies in central Altus Plateau, around the Minor Erdtree and in southern Crumbling Farum Azula, as a rare (2.5%) drop.

Effect

Prevents the loss of Runes upon death (except for deaths cause by Death Blight).

Breaks upon death (except for deaths caused by Death Blight).

Notes

• Can be left for other players.
• Can be discarded.
• Can be sold to merchants for 1,000 runes.
• Useful to equip when you are about to run into an area full of dangerous enemies, just keep in mind to unequip afterwards so as to not lose it unnecessarily.
• Like the Twiggy Cracked Tear, since it prevents you from dropping a Bloodstain with your runes upon death it will also prevent it from replacing your previous one and therefore gives you another chance to grab it.
  • This is especially useful around large drops since it makes the consequences around fall damage deaths much smaller, provided you are willing to risk losing a twig.
• Be careful when farming these, as the only enemies that drop them are also some of a few that can inflict Death Blight and therefore circumvent the protective effect.
• Can be used to safely transport out a bunch of Runes stuck inside of a boss room, especially when combined with quitting out to the main menu to reset the character to just outside of the boss room's fog wall.
