Sellia, Town of Sorcery
Sellia, Town of Sorcery is a location in ELDEN RING (2022).
Overview
A town in Caelid on the eastern bank of the Swamp of Aeonia. Sellian sorcerers are assassins who are said to hunt their fellow sorcerers,[1] employing night sorceries that allowed them to turn their weapons,[2] or their own bodies,[3] invisible to deceive their enemies.
The Eternal City of Nokron sleeps below Sellia,[4] and it is said that the Sellians are descended from the city's inhabitants.[5] Primeval Sorcerer Lusat, one of the founding Glintstone Sorcerers, came from Sellia.[6] Other Sellian sorcerers followed in Lusat's footsteps, travelling to the Academy of Raya Lucaria to study the Olivinus Conspectus.[7]
General Radahn studied gravity sorcery in Sellia in his youth,[8] learning from an Alabaster Lord.[9] The knowledge he gained allowed him to challenge the stars[10] during the Starscourge Conflict, where he held the town of Sellia secure.[11]
Presently, the town is inhabited by spectral Glintstone Sorcerers and mechanical marionettes, and many of the buildings have been ensnared by the roots that trail from the nearby swamp. Several buildings are protected by seals, which can be broken by lighting the flames at the tops of the town's three towers. Lighting all three will break the seal that blocks the entrance to the chair-crypt, where two former inhabitants of the Eternal Cities reside.
