Shadow Keep is a dungeon and region in the Realm of Shadow.

Description

The towering black keep, lair of Messmer the Impaler. Shadow Keep guards Scaduview to its north, the location of the Hinterland and the Scadutree. The keep itself has three main sections: the entrance's Main Gate Plaza, the Specimen Storehouse, and the Church District.

The outer walls tower over the Scadu Altus at a height of almost two-hundred meters.^[1] Entering through the main gate guarded by a Furnace Golem leads to a lift to the Main Gate Plaza. The plaza is guarded by the Golden Hippopotamus, bristling with Crucible thorns.^[2]
