Skill: Glintstone Pebble is a Skill in ELDEN RING (2022).

Skill that employs the glintstone sorcery of the same name. Follow up with a strong attack to chain this skill into a lunging thrust, performed while the armament is still imbued with glintstone.

Effect Effect

The user holds the weapon up close and imbues it with glintstone magic, flashing the sigil of Raya Lucaria's Sorceries. Afterwards, the user casts Glintstone Pebble, dealing Attack Power Magic 137 base Magic Attack Power.

Inputting strong attack has the user follow up with a lunging thrust attack that deals 160% of the weapon's Attack Power as well as an additional Attack Power Magic 45 base Magic Attack Power.

If performing without the sufficient FP FP or stat requirements, the user will simply swipe with the weapon, dealing 50% of the weapon's Attack Power. The lunging thrust attack deals only 130% of the weapon's Attack Power. No glintstone magic is cast.

Frame data

It takes 25 frames/0.83 seconds to cast the pebble. This takes 39 frames/1.30 seconds to complete.

Using a heavy attack to follow-up instead launches an attack at 59 frames/1.97 seconds in. This makes the skill end after 81 frames/2.70 seconds.

  • Casting Glintstone Pebble costs FP 8 points of FP, while the lunging thrust attack costs FP 4 points of FP.

  • The glintstone pebble deals Stamina 150 points of base Stamina damage against guarded enemies, while the lunging thrust attack deals Stamina 200% of the weapon's base Stamina damage against guarded enemies.
    • In PvP, the glintstone pebble deals Stamina 187.5 points of base Stamina damage against guarded players, while the lunging thrust attack deals Stamina 250% of the weapon's base Stamina damage against guarded players.
  • The glintstone pebble deals 3 points of Stance damage, while the lunging thrust attack deals 400% of the weapon's base Stance damage.
  • The glintstone pebble inflicts 0% of the weapon's Status Effect build-up, while the lunging thrust attack inflicts 100% of the weapon's Status Effect build-up.

  • The glintstone pebble has a Damage Level value of 1 (Short Stagger), while the lunging thrust attack has a Damage Level value of 3 (Long Stagger).
  • The Attack Power Physical Physical damage type of the lunging thrust attack is the weapon's secondary damage type.
  • The glintstone pebble can be reflected, while the lunging thrust attack can be parried.
  • The Magic Attack Power of the projectile and the follow-up thrust's enhancement scale with the user's Intelligence and weapon upgrade level.
    • Gains increased Intelligence-scaling if using an Int-scaling Affinity (Magic or Cold).
    • Attack Power is always at least 548 for the projectile and 180 for the thrust enhancement for a weapon at maximum upgrade level.

Boosting

Strategies

  • While the extra Magic Attack Power on the thrust is fairly low and therefore will be harshly impacted by an enemy's flat defence, it means that a weapon that already has Magic Attack Power (whether that is innately, from an affinity, or from a Weapon Buff) will deal a decent bit more damage than otherwise due to being more able to overcome flat defence.

Increased the range of Ash of War “Glintstone Pebble” and “Glintstone Dart” projectile while decreasing the damage and stagger power. The range of the glintstone pebble was increased from ??? meters to ??? meters. However, the Damage Level of the glintstone pebble was decreased from 3 to 1. Additionally, the base Magic Attack Power of the glintstone pebble was decreased from Attack Power Magic 165 to Attack Power Magic 125. Furthermore, the Stance damage of the glintstone pebble was decreased from 15 to 3.
The reduction in Damage Level means that this was the update that prevented the projectile from chaining into a guaranteed hit with the follow-up thrust.
